Alexander Leads Wildcats Over Jordan With A 5 Point Performance

Senior Midfielder Porter Alexander scores 3 goals and adds 2 assists to his resume Tuesday night at Wildcat Stadium as East beats Jordan 10-8 in the 1st round of the Conference playoff bracket. That win puts East in the title game Thursday at 7pm at Cardinal Gibbons in Raleigh NC. The game didn’t start off our way with Jordan scoring the first 2 goals of the game. East came back though and ended the 1st quarter 2-2. The 2nd quarter went Jordans way scoring 3 times to East only scoring twice. The score at halftime was 4-5 Jordan. The 3rd quarter was a back and forth contest with both teams having opportunities. East just happened to score enough to make it a tie game at the end of 3 with a score of 6-6. The start of the 4th quarter was as if it was a 0-0 game. Whichever team played the hardest and capitalized on there opportunities will be the victor. Needless to say it was a great Senior Night at East with our Wildcats outscoring Jordan 4-2 in the 4th quarter to pull out a victory winning 10-8. Great Game Guys!!! Congratulations To Our Seniors!!!!!

East Pulls Off A Victory In A Downpour Over Riverside

On a day that only a duck would like, our Wildcats boarded the bus headed to Riverside trying to end there regular season schedule. Once they arrived both schools were determined to get this game in. Riverside opened up the contest scoring the first 2 goals of the game. East came back scoring 3 ending the 1st quarter 3-2 East. The 2nd quarter was a hard fought one by both teams with Riverside putting the only point on the scoreboard going in to halftime tied up 3-3. The 3rd quarter was much like the 1st with East scoring 3 times and Riverside scoring twice ending the 3rd 6-5 East. At this point the sky has decided to open up and the rain was coming down. Holy cow. That didn’t matter to our Wildcats, they put 4 in the back of the net to Riversides 1 ending the game 10-6 East Chapel Hill. Great game boys!!!

East Loses To Cardinal Gibbons

Tuesday April 19th didn’t go the way our Wildcats wanted it to. A very good and well coached Cardinal Gibbons team came to Chapel Hill and beat us 3-17. East seemed to be a little off that day. Things that they normally due such as getting groundballs and passing and catching seemed to be a difficult task. It was a hard game for East from the opening whistle. The 1st quarter ended with East down 1-5. The 2nd quarter was much like the 1st going into halftime East 1- Gibbons 10. After half we were looking better scoring 1 in the 3rd and another 1 in the 4th. Unfortunately Gibbons scored more too. The game finally ended with East losing 3-17. Tough game guys. Keep your heads up.
