East Loses To Green Hope 4-12

East came up short Friday night in a disappointing loss to Green Hope. Green Hope opened the contest with a few goals before East final hit the back of the net. Green Hope had a patient offense and were able to possess the ball throughout the game. The 1st quarter ended with the Wildcats being down 1-4. The 2nd quarter was much like the 1st with Green Hope dominating possession of the ball going into halftime with a score of 3-8. East was shutout in the 3rd while Green Hope scored 2 ending the 3rd at 3-10. East tacked on 1 more goal in the 4th with Green Hope scoring 2 more ending the game at 4-12. Great Effort East!!

East Defeats Cedar Ridge 11-9

The first home game for the Wildcats turned out to be a good one. On a chilly night under the lights at Wildcat Stadium East came out determined to beat Cedar Ridge. Senior Chris Cox opened the contest with the first goal of the game on a right handed sweep. The contest went back and forth in the 1st quarter ending in a 3-3 tie. The 2nd quarter went in the favor of the Wildcats going into halftime with a 5-4 lead. Cedar Ridge came out in the 3rd quarter on fire. Cedar Ridge scored 3 goals over a span of 1:41 to end the 3rd quarter tied up 9-9. East regained there composure in the 4th, scoring 2 goals and shutout Cedar Ridge winning the game 11-9. Way to go Cats!!!!

Season Opener Yields A 17-2 Victory for Wildcats

East Lacrosse opened the year under the lights at Northwood with a 17-2 victory. Returning Senior Chris Cox opened the year with 4 goals and 3 assists. The Wildcats had many players tickle the twine throughout the night. We also had 3 people taking the faceoffs, they were Senior Tyler Westerhoff, Freshman Langston Luck and Sophomore Manny Seyon. In the goal Junior Luke Fajack had the start and protecting him was Senior Grant Booterbaugh, Senior Peter Klein and Sophomore Taylor Greeno. In the midfield we had Senior Chris Cox and Senior Liam Finn. On the attack side we had Senior Jordan Greeno, Junior Aidan Clark and Freshman Jack Koonce. Many other saw the field and made the stat book. East opened with the first goal of the game and never looked back. we ended the 1st quarter 4-0. Northwood put a couple past Fajack in the second going into halftime with a score of 9-2. the 3rd quarter was all East putting 5 in the goal ending the 3rd at 14-2. The 4th quarter was much like the rest of the game with one big highlight. On a man up situation Senior Chris Cox fed the ball to Junior Micheal Page and he was able to score his first varsity goal. Congrats Mikey!! The game ended with a final score of 17-2. Great Job Wildcats!!!
