It was a hard fought game for our East Mens Lacrosse team last night at Jordan. We did manage to walk out of there with a victory. In a game that was close from the get go, the first quarter ended with a score of 2-1 with East in the lead. East stepped it up in the second quarter outscoring Jordan 3-1 making the halftime score 5-2. After halftime Jordan came out on fire bringing the score to 7-6 East at the end of the 3rd quarter. East goalie Vance Perkins (Jr.) was having a great game thus far. The fourth quarter was a hard fought one with each team tallying a goal a piece. The game ended with an East victory with a score of 8-7. Game contributors were as follows: Senior Drew Monroe had a great game with 4 goals and 3 assists, Junior midfielder Chris Cox added 2 goals and 2 assists, while Senior midfielder Ian Hopkins added 1 goal and Senior attackman David Waugh also had 1 goal. Junior Goalie Vance Perkins ended the game with an incredible 23 saves, while Senior Ellis Llewellen had 8 groundballs and Freshman Simon Perkins recorded 5 ground balls.
