After losing our last 2 games the Wildcats had a tremendous showing against Riverside Tuesday night at Wildcat Stadium. East was in control from the opening faceoff. There were plenty of players that had there names recorded in the box score. The 1st quarter had 5 different people hit the back of the next. Junior Midfielder Chris Cox led the quarter scoring 4 goals, while Senior Attackman Drew Monroe had 1 goal, Senior LSM Ellis Llewellen had 1 goal, Junior Attackman Jordan Greeno had 1 goal and Senior Ian Hopkins had 1 goal ending the quarter with a score of 8-1 East. The 2nd quarter was much of the same with Senior Attackman Drew Monroe adding another goal, Junior Midfielder Tyler Westerhoff scoring 1 goal, Junior Midfielder Chris Cox scoring 1 goal and Senior LSM Ellis Llewellen scoring 1 goal going in to halftime with a score of 12-2 East. The 3rd quarter opened with Senior Midfielder Conor McVeigh scoring 1 goal, Freshman Attackman Taylor Greeno scoring 1 goal (his 1st goal as a varsity player) Congrats Taylor, Junior Midfielder Chris Cox scoring 1 goal, Senior Midfielder Steele Lloyd scoring 1 goal and Junior Attackman Jordan Greeno scoring the final goal of the 3rd quarter making the score 17-3 East. Riverside found the back of the net in the 4th quarter scoring 4 goals but East had Senior LSM Ellis Llewellen scoring 1 goal and Senior Midfielder Ian Hopkins scoring 1 goal to end the East scoring. The game ended with a final score of 19-7 East. It was a great showing for our kids. They moved the ball very well and shot for the pipes. In a game where nothing seemed to go right for our Wildcats, the Carrboro Jaguars took an early lead with a couple of goals from Andrew Montross. Junior Midfielder Chris Cox put the Wildcats on the board With 2 goals in the first quarter ending the 1st with a score of 2-4 Jaguars. The second quarter went pretty much the same way with the Jaguars scoring twice and Junior Midfielder Chris Cox scoring 1 goal, putting the score at 3-6 Jaguars at halftime. The 3rd quarter was a hard fought one for both sides with the Jaguars scoring the only goal in that quarter, ending the 3rd with a score of 3-7 Jaguars. East finally woke up a little and got there groove on with Senior Attackman Drew Monroe scoring 2 goals and Junior Midfielder Chris Cox scoring the final goal of the game. There just wasn’t enugh time left on the clock for our Wildcats to score another goal, so the game ended with a score of 6-7 Jaguars. Game Contributors:

A team from Delaware, Ohio drove to Chapel Hill to take on our Wildcats Wednesday night. The game started off all in favor of the Wildcats with Junior Midfielder Chris Cox scoring the first 2 goals of the game and Senior Attackman Drew Monroe adding 1 goal to give East a 3-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of play. Senior midfielder Micheal Krantz scored 1 goal in the first quarter as well ending the quarter with a score of 4-1 East. The second was an even battle with each team scoring 1 goal apiece going into halftime with a score of 5-2 East. The visitors from the north came out in the 3rd quarter controlling the ball and momentum and scored 4 goals to end the 3rd quarter with there first lead of the game at 5-6 Pacers. East came out in the 4th determined to get the momentum back with Senior Attackman Drew Monroe scoring 5 minutes into the quarter to tie the score at 6-6. Once again Senior Attackman Drew Monroe scored the go ahead goal with under 4 minutes left to play. The Pacers from Delaware weren’t giving up so easy, they tied the score with 1:21 left in the game. The next faceoff was a battle with the Pacers gaining control and there coach calling a time out. Coming back on the field the Pacers were hoping to take the last shot or the game would be going into OT. They moved the ball around and with time running out they drove down the left side of the field, took the shot and with 1 tick left on the clock they scored winning the game 7-8. Game Contributors:
