Last Second Goal In OT Knocks East Out Of Playoffs

In a game that carried alot of emotion for both sides, this was one for the record books. True excitement from the opening face off until the last goal was scored. The game went back and forth the whole time with no one ever leading by more than 2 goals. Leesville opened up scoring the first goal of the game. Junior Chris Cox scored the first goal for East, then Leesville hit the back of the net again ending the 1st quarter with a score of 1-2 Leesville. THe 2nd quarter was just the opposite with Leesville getting 1 goal and Junior Chris Cox getting 2 more goals giving him a hat trick in the first half and making the score 3-3 at halftime. The 3rd quarter was a tight one as well with East outscoring Leesville 3-2, Scoring for East in the 3rd was Junior Porter Alexander, Senior Ellis Llewellen and Junior Chris Cox, giving East a 6-5 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was just like the 1st with Junior Porter Alexander scoring the only goal for East while Leesville rallied back with 2 goals putting the game at a 7-7 tie, sending it into OT. Both teams had multiple chances and multiple opportunities to score in OT but unfortunately Leesville stuck the winning goal with 3 seconds left in OT to win the game 7-8 Leesville. It was a disapponiting loss for East but It was one of the best games to watch. Best of luck to Leesville in the next round.
